Direct system – Frost free areas (ambient temperatures not lower than 5°C)

  • Can be installed as either a close coupled system or as a split pump system.
  • This system complies with the SANS 1307 and is SABS 400kPa approved.

Features

  • For hygiene and longevity reasons, the inner cylinder is made from 2mm thermos and steel fused porcelain enamel.
  • Insulation made from polyurethane fits between the inner cylinder and the outer casing reduces the risk of heat loss.
  • In order to protect against corrosion, 2 aluminium sacrificial anodes are fitted to this system.
  • If the water coming from the collection panels has not reached the designated temperature, the solar water heater thermostat will automatically switch itself on.
  • There are two extra water connections that are required to connect the solar collector panels and the booster element. This ensures that the solar water heater can be used as an electric water heater as well as a solar water heater.

  • This system can be installed in frost and frost-free areas, provided that the water quality is good (total dissolved solid or minerals is no greater than 600ppm)

  • This system is also used in areas that have poor water quality (total dissolved solids or minerals is more than 600ppm).
